Please make sure we have your update mobile number.  We may need to contact you at short notice.  Also we are now sending texts messages to mobile numbers confirming appointments, reminding patients of an appointment and other health related matters.

The doctors and staff at Totley Rise Medical Centre in Sheffield are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare.We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

ELECTRONIC PRESCRIBING

We are now live with Electronic Prescribing.  This means your prescription can be sent electronically to a nominated pharmacy so you would not need to collect your prescription from the surgery.  To set this up speak to your regular pharmacy who can set this up for you or speak to reception at the surgery. 

PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS

From the 1st August we will no longer accept orders from a third party service

There are a couple of easy ways in which you can order your prescriptions. The first one is to do it online via our website. For this you will need a username and a password which our reception can provide you. Once you have logged on for the first time, you will be able to order prescriptions easily 24/7. The second option is to come to the surgery and either tick the items you need from the right side of your previous script or fill in a form at the desk, detailing exactly what you need.

TEST RESULTS

The receptionists are not allowed to give out any figures/in depth information with regards to blood tests and Xrays.  This can only be given by a trained clinician.  If you wish to discuss your results in detail then you will be asked to make an appointment with the clinician who requested the tests.

Disabled Access

The practice has suitable access for disabled patients.  There is a ramp outside the building running up to the entrance.  The consulting rooms and the patient toilet are on the ground floor. If you experience any difficulty please consult a member of staff for assistance.

 

Out of Hours

There is a new free phone number to ring for medical advice. This will replace NHS Direct. The number is 111.

This number is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Use this number for Out-of-Hours (6.30pm to 8am and weekends).

If you need a doctor during all other times please ring the surgery number. If we are closed you will be passed through to our Out-of-Hours provider.
